Pre-Checkride Stage Check

Objectives

• Prepare for checkride by revisiting all the required maneuvers

• Insure standards documented in Private Pilot ACS - Airplane (Change 1) (FAA-S-ACS-6B)

Session Details

This will be a flight with either the chief flight instructor, or some other club instructor, to allow an independent assessment of the private pilot candidate. The focus will be on simulating a somewhat realistic practical exam flight. The instructor will give feedback on the observed performance. Additional review flights may be needed if there are areas that need more attention.

The goal here is two-fold. One is the simple opportunity to gain an independent evaluation of the candidate. The second is to provide the candidate the chance to experience what a practical exam may be like before having to actually go take one.
